Mangosteen. The fruit is burgundy in color and the size of a small apple. Mangosteen needs to be cleaned like this: cut deep and remove the peel. Mangosteen grows in the months from April to September.
Mango. Mangoes are consumed both ripe and unripe. Ripe mango is sweet and juicy. Unripe mango is good for fresh vegetable salads or as a vitamin-rich snack for lunch. There is a large flat seed inside the mango. Mangoes are easy to peel - you need to cut off the peel on one side of the fruit, then cut the pulp into a plate, and do the same on the other side. Mango contains nutritious vitamins that are beneficial for human health. Helps the digestive system function well. March – June is mango season.
Papaya. Vegetable and fruit rolled into one. It has an oblong oval shape. Inside the bone. By cutting the papaya along its length, you can easily remove the seeds. Unripe tart and sour papaya is used in preparing a variety of meat dishes and added to salads. It has a “carrot flavor” - barely sweet. The pulp is soft, which means the fruit is ripe and can be consumed as a completely independent dish. Papaya is very beneficial for the digestion process. Papaya grows all year round.
Coconut. Coconuts grow all year round. Coconuts come in different sizes. Chilled coconut is good to drink in hot weather; it perfectly quenches thirst. This is the most refreshing and delicious drink.
Durian. Durian is very large, reaching up to 30 cm in size and weighing up to 8 kg! The durian skin is spiny. The fruit is tender, has a nutty-cheesy taste and a characteristic sweetish-putrid smell. It is considered inadvisable to consume durian with alcoholic drinks, as it increases blood pressure. Durian season: March to August.
Jackfruit. Jackfruit is very large in size, and has a slightly sweet taste. Its weight reaches up to 32 kg! Jackfruit is covered with a pimply, peculiar peel.
Dragon's eye or Pitahaya. Pitahaya is similar to a large oval apple. The fruit comes in two types - with white and pink pulp inside. The pulp is soft with small seeds, slightly sweet in taste, reminiscent of kiwi. For convenience, Pitahaya can be eaten with a spoon. The peel is pink. It is better to cool it first before using it. Pitahaya is good for the thyroid gland and blood circulation.
A pineapple. The local pineapples are recognized as the healthiest and most delicious. They come in several types and sizes. There are those with sour pulp - for salads, there are sweet pineapples. Ripe pineapple is juicy and tender. Pineapple is rich in many beneficial microelements. Pineapple lowers blood pressure. It also helps the body fight colds.
Watermelon. Local watermelons are simply unforgettable! They are beautiful when cut, and taste juicy and sweet. Watermelon is very refreshing during hot periods and is recommended to be consumed chilled.
Creamy Sugar Apple or Noina. Noina bog has a green skin, reminiscent of a jagged apple. Noina can be big or small. Inside there is very delicate sweet pulp. This means that the fruit is ripe and some people eat it with a spoon, cutting the fruit in half. Noina is also very beneficial for the body due to its nutrients. Season: June to September.
Rose apple or Chom Pu. Children love pink apple. It is tender and slightly sweet. Apples are good to eat chilled. There are two types - pink and green. Does not contain seeds and does not require peeling. April - June are the months when the rose apple grows.
Guava. Guava is consumed with spices, sugar and salt when it is still unripe and the flesh is hard and green. The peel is not peeled. Guava is similar to a green, lumpy apple. Helps the digestive process and heart function.
Carambola or star fruit. It is called the star fruit because when cut it looks like a star. Growing months: October to December. There is no need to peel the carambola. Carambola is yellow and green, oblong in shape. Ripe carambola is tasty, juicy, slightly sweet, and floral. Carambola also contains vitamin C.
Rambutan. The sweet, round, “hairy” rambutan contains proteins, iron and other vitamins. It is good for the skin. Rambutan grows from April to October.
Lychee. Round small lychee with peel and tender pulp with a sourish-sweet taste. Lychee contains useful vitamins. Grows from April to June. Lychee tones and is recommended for use for anemia. Promotes good digestion.
Longan. Juicy sweet longan with a seed looks like nuts. It cleans well. Longan helps improve appetite. From June to August is the longan season.
Longcon or Lam Yai. Longcon grows in clusters. This is a small round fruit with skin and sourish-sweet pulp. It is healthy and nutritious.
Sapodila. Slightly juicy brown sapodilla, egg-shaped and caramel flavored. The peel needs to be peeled off. Sapodila helps increase blood pressure. October – December is sapodila season.
Sala or Salak. Oval, sourish-sweet lard with small spines, easy to clean.
Tamarind. This irregularly shaped fruit is about 10-15 cm in length. Tamarind is used in Thailand as a good laxative and, most importantly, a natural remedy. There are different types. Some taste tart, sourish-sweet, and some sour. Hard bones inside.
Tamarind contains many vitamins and minerals. December – March are considered tamarind months.
Pomelo. Pomelo is a citrus fruit. It has a very thick peel up to 4 cm. It can weigh more than a kilogram. The taste is sweet, slightly bitter. Season: August - November.
