Constitution Day will take place on December 10, 2014 in Thailand. On this date, numerous government organizations will not work. But shopping malls are usually open to their visitors.
In 1932, the first Constitution was signed. Of course, it was later revised numerous times, but it became the most important of the laws. The new Constitution concluded that supreme power to this day belongs to the citizens of the Kingdom of Siam. And the monarchy itself is considered the main subject of power.
On January 7, 1933, the so-called Nationalist Party of twenty people was registered.
Thus the absolute monarchy fell.
Today, this date is considered a significant day for the Thai people. Some institutions decorate with national flags. Also, all kinds of events are organized throughout Thailand - seminars and other exhibitions, which tell and make it easier to understand how the democratic system works and how political culture is developing among the Thai people.
